The Requirement

Sekisui Diagnostics UK base, located in Kent, operates as a laboratory for the manufacture and testing of sensitive medical and diagnostic equipment, as well as their sales and distribution centre. Given the sensitive nature of the laboratory equipment and their IT and communications systems, a stable, consistent and reliable power supply is absolutely essential.

Our Solution

After a detailed analysis and consultation program, we settled on the Eaton 9155 10kVA, a double-conversion online UPS specifically designed to provide continuous power protection in industrial and corporate environments. This unit, incorporating an impressive runtime with a comparably small footprint, provides the comprehensive protection required while adhering to the environmental standards that Sekisui Diagnostics promote.

In addition to providing an extensive warranty and on-site commissioning within the package, we also installed an Environmental Monitoring Probe (EMP), which runs periodic checks on the UPS to ensure the unit's full and efficient functionality. With an automated remote shut down capability and an alarm system, the EMP removed the need for staff to make physical checks and allowed them to manage the 9155 remotely via their web browser, thus saving them time and allowing them to focus on their core roles.
