The Client

The Caravan Clubs is a membership organisation for fans of caravanning and camping. Its objective is to help its members enjoy all aspects of their hobby. Its 250 employees in its head office maintain a network of over 3000 sites nationwide.

The Requirement

The Caravan Club transact almost all their business via their website. Any mains power supply problems could be disastrous - jeopardising sensitive hardware and putting critical data at risk.

They were looking therefore for a solution which provided continuous power protection for their head office, which removed the risk of damage to equipment or data, while at the same time minimising their carbon footprint.

Our Solution

We supplied an Eaton 9390, a double-conversion UPS, which supplies continuous power by isolating the protected load from input utility power.

The Eaton 9390 is extremely energy efficient, delivering 94% efficiency, which keeps heat waste to a minimum and operational costs low.

The unit's intelligent design and efficiency also serves to extend the life of the battery and so improves the overall reliability and performance of the UPS.

To give them even greater security, the maintenance contract the Caravan Club selected, guaranteed that an engineer would be on site within 6 hours and also gave them a 24 hour telephone support service.
